Are Dastkhat signatures legally valid in Pakistan?
Yes. Dastkhat produces valid electronic signatures under the Electronic Transactions Ordinance (ETO) 2002. Our audit trail, tamper-proof records and identity checks give you strong evidence if a document is ever disputed.
Which documents can't be signed electronically?
ETO 2002 excludes negotiable instruments, powers of attorney, trust deeds, wills and contracts for the sale of immovable property. Everything else — employment, NDAs, vendor, rental and sales agreements — can all be signed electronically.
Do signers need a Dastkhat account?
No. Signers open the link we email them and sign — on any device, at no cost, confirming their identity when you require it. Only the sender spends credits.
How do credits work?
Credits are prepaid tokens spent when you send a case — one credit per recipient. Uploading, preparing, downloading and verification are all free, and credits never expire.
